Reverse Steer Jeeps FAQ

Booking & Arrival

Can a non-driver still come along with the group?

Yes, non-drivers can absolutely join a Reverse Steer Jeeps group. Mixed groups are very common, and the session is run so everyone stays together, with clear safe viewing areas and a proper rotation so nobody is left standing around or feeling left out.

If someone is nervous, has no full licence, or simply does not want to drive, they can still have a great day out, enjoy the atmosphere, and catch the best photo and video moments. Full info here

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Rescheduling is possible with reasonable notice. If you need to cancel, let us know as early as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else.
If you have a specific notice period, add it here as a single line policy.

What happens if we’re late?

If we can, we’ll work around it. If the schedule is tight, late arrivals may lose some time.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. This is appointment only, so pre-booking is required.

Safety & What to Expect

Licence, Age & Requirements

Do I need experience?

No. It’s designed for beginners. You’ll get a short briefing first, then time to get comfortable before proper runs.

Is there an age limit?

Yes — drivers must be 18+.

Is this a good day trip from Dublin if we want something different, but not too intense?

Yes. A reverse-steer driving session is a hands-on outdoor experience that’s guided from the start and built for beginners. It’s focused on control and learning a new skill, rather than speed, so it feels safe and manageable while still being great fun.

It works brilliantly for couples, friends, and small groups, and it gives you a clear plan for the day: head out, do something memorable, then enjoy food and a chat afterwards. Full details: /day-trip-from-dublin-driving-experience

Can someone ride as a passenger?

Usually yes, depending on the format and conditions on the day. We’ll confirm at booking.

How does the session work?

Typically:
  • Safety briefing and rules. Disclaimer
  • First runs to get used to the jeep
  • Coached tips and turns so everyone gets fair time driving

Is it safe?

Yes, when the rules are followed. It’s run in a controlled environment with a briefing beforehand. It’s about control and technique, not speed.

What licence do I need?

A full driving licence is required. International full licences are fine as long as they’re valid.
